Since 1991, Children's Hunger Fund has distributed more than $500 million in aid, bringing hope to children in more than 70 countries worldwide. Through financial contributions and employee food drives, CM Concrete is proud to be part of the network of corporations that gives truckloads of quality products to those who could, otherwise never afford them.

Habitat for Humanity

The Habitat for Humanity Villa Cesar Chavez project is a prime example of CM Concrete volunteers in action. Habitat for Humanity International is a nonprofit, nondenominational Christian housing ministry. Habitat welcomes all people — regardless of race, religion or ethnicity — to build simple, decent, affordable houses with those who lack adequate shelter.

Since its founding in 1976, Habitat for Humanity has built more than 200,000 houses, providing shelter for more than 1 million people, in nearly 100 countries around the world. CM Concrete is proud to be a part of this development through donations of labor and material in Ventura County.

Hurricane Katrina Aid

On September 13, 2005, CFO Laura Purcell and two volunteers from the Red Cross set out to Louisiana with a truckload of donated supplies for Hurricane Katrina victims. This was truly a community effort, spearheaded by CM Concrete's community outreach. Donations poured in from across the community, ranging from customers and vendors, to local churches and neighbors, to perfect strangers who wanted to lend a helping hand. After the initial drop-off in Mt. Hermon, CM Concrete continued the effort with a school supply donation for the devastated Louisiana community.

Lighthouse Women and Children's Mission

Launched in 1997, the Lighthouse Women and Children's Mission provides life essential services to homeless women. They provide opportunities for emergency food and shelter, recovery from addictions and abuse, and life skills development in a warm and secure environment through biblically based classes and counseling. As part of our continuing efforts to aid the community, CM Concrete supports Lighthouse through financial contributions.

Missions to Unreached People

Mission to Unreached Peoples was started in 1981 to bridge the gap between traditional missions and Christian relief and development. Initial activities revolved around raising funds for small projects undertaken by national Christians in the developing countries of Asia. CM Concrete continues to support this mission through financial contributions.

The Rain Project

Operated by the County of Ventura, the RAIN Project is a transitional living center for homeless families. By providing a highly-structured environment and an individualized case plan, residents are able to gain the tools necessary to achieve self-sufficiency. Approximately 50% of RAIN Project graduates have obtained and sustained independent housing.

CM Concrete is honored to be part of a generous team of local contractors and vendors who donated their labor and materials to provide the RAIN Project with a fantasy playground, basketball court and beautiful landscaping. CM Concrete also contributes to the Diana Vogelbaum scholarship, administered by RAIN.
